Mason came tearing into Monday's contest with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Fairfield Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-3 on Thursday.

Liam Sander was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on JJ Darst, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Tyler Groff also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Mason pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Fairfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mason will challenge Lakota West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fairfield, they will face off against Elder at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
