Baseball Recap: South Pittsburg Comes Up Short

South Pittsburg fell victim to Silverdale Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Seahawks, falling 18-0. The Pirates have struggled against the Seahawks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

South Pittsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Silverdale Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Pittsburg will square off against Grundy County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Silverdale Academy, they will take on Baylor at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
