Baseball Recap: Eufaula Gets the Win

Eufaula's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Idabel Warriors by a score of 9-4. For the Ironheads, this counts as revenge for the 20-5 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Kase Bell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Eufaula: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-15 otherwise.

In other batting news, Eufaula let Jax Williams and Fischer McAllister run wild. Williams went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while McAllister went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles Williams has posted since back in March.

Eufaula's win bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Idabel, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-23.

Eufaula will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
