Gridley got themselves on the board against Winters on Saturday, but Winters never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Winters Warriors, sneaking past 1-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gridley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Branson Busch, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The victory got Gridley back to even at 1-1. As for Winters, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Gridley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-4 win against Colusa on the 8th. As for Winters, they will take on St. Helena at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
