            Football Recap: Northglenn Norsemen vs. Mountain Range Mustangs        
        
		
        
        
            Northglenn's game  last Saturday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Saturday. They blew past the Mountain Range Mustangs 54-6. The high-scoring effort was just what the Norsemen needed considering they were shut out in their previous   matchup.

 Kaitlyn Fujinami produced another solid  effort throwing for 282 yards and five  TDs, while also rushing for 91 yards and one  score on only ten carries. Those  282  passing yards gave  her a new career-high. Northglenn also got help from  Vanessa Rodriguez, who showed off her sure hands for 125  receiving yards.
 Northglenn didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Evelynn Jaimes,  Fujinami,  and  Leah Jaimes picked up one apiece. Evelynn got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
Northglenn's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 3-2. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average over those games. As for Mountain Range,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-4.
 Northglenn wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  69-0  win against Aurora West College Prep Academy on the 10th. As for Mountain Range, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  49-0  victory against Gateway on the 10th.
