Soccer Game Preview: Xavier Prep vs. Palm Springs

The Xavier Prep Saints will face off against the Palm Springs Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Xavier Prep's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Xavier Prep's offense. They came up short against Shadow Hills on Wednesday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1118th, while the Knights are ranked 239th).

Meanwhile, Palm Springs came up short against La Quinta on Wednesday and fell 4-2. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly two goals.

Xavier Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-12-1. As for Palm Springs, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8-4.
