Volleyball Recap: Community Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Community Christian Academy lost 3-0 to Appling Christian Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Appling Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Monday.

While Community Christian Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Appling Christian Academy's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-7, 25-12.

This is the second loss in a row for Community Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Appling Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

After both having extra time off, Community Christian Academy and Colquitt Christian Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Appling Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Brunswick Christian Academy on the 29th.
