Soccer Recap: Poly Starts Season with Victory Against Northridge Academy

Poly had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Northridge Academy Pumas by a score of 4-2. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Poly were the better team in the second half.

They hit Northridge Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ernest Walker (2), Juan Diego Ramirez, and Brian Robles.

Northridge Academy now has a losing record of 0-1-1.

Coming up, Poly will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Van Nuys at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northridge Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lakeview Charter at 4:00 p.m. on December 3.
