Volleyball Recap: Fairhaven Gets the Win

Fairhaven lost to Apponequet Regional back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Blue Devils came out on top against the Lakers by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

While Fairhaven might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Apponequet Regional scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 25-19.

Fairhaven found their leader in sophomore Elodie Cook, who had five digs and four aces. Margaux Poyant also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Fairhaven's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Apponequet Regional, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Fairhaven is set to square off against their familiar foe Seekonk at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Apponequet Regional will challenge rival Dighton-Rehoboth Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
