Basketball Game Preview: Middleton Tigers vs. Newsome Wolves

The Middleton Tigers will face off against the Newsome Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Middleton will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Middleton was able to grind out a solid win over Leto, taking the game 45-34.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newsome). They claimed a resounding 54-17 victory over Leto. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wolves as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Middleton pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points per game. As for Newsome, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-11.

Middleton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Newsome when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 31-27 victory. Will Middleton repeat their success, or does Newsome have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
