Basketball Recap: Harvest Christian Academy Triumphs

It was a proper cat-fight when Harvest Christian Academy duked it out withPlainfield Central on Friday. The Harvest Christian Academy Lions snuck past the Plainfield Central Wildcats with a 64-60 victory. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly four points.

Harvest Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Elijah Bell, who went 10 for 16 on his way to 30 points and eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bell has scored all season. Zander Langfeld was another key player, as he made all 5 shots he took to post 17 points.

The win made it two in a row for Harvest Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-10. As for Plainfield Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

Harvest Christian Academy and Woodstock will face off at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Plainfield Central, they will head out to square off against Dixon at 2:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
