Basketball Recap: Susitna Valley Comes Up Short

Susitna Valley was the 33-25 winner over Lumen Christi when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Susitna Valley Rams fell just short of the Lumen Christi Archangels by a score of 32-30 on Tuesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lumen Christi to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amara Warren, who posted four points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Warren is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last 45 games she's played dating back to last season. Lillian Muller was another key player, putting up eight points.

Susitna Valley's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Lumen Christi, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.

Coincidentally, Susitna Valley and Lumen Christi will both be playing Seward the next time they take the court. Susitna Valley will host Seward at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Lumen Christi will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
