Softball Recap: Valders Vikings vs. Reedsville Panthers        
        
		
            
 After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Valders was happy to have turned things around  on Saturday. They were the clear victor by  an  11-2 margin over the Reedsville Panthers. That's more bragging rights for Valders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Megan Hochkammer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Hochkammer has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in 17 consecutive pitching appearances. Hochkammer was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with a  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Makayla Dallas was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.  Anna Olson was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Valders is  on a roll lately: they've  won 12 of their last 15 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record  this season. As for Reedsville, they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-12.
 Valders will be playing at home against Roncalli at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Valders is on  a three-game streak of home losses, Roncalli a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Reedsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
