Softball Recap: Calhoun Takes a Loss

Calhoun blew Williamstown out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Williamstown got their revenge. The Red Devils fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Red Devils have suffered since April 1st.

Calhoun saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raylee Cunningham, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Calhoun has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Williamstown, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-18.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Yellowjackets beat Calhoun by a score of 10-9 later that day.
