Soccer Game Preview: Vermont Academy vs. St. Paul's

The Vermont Academy Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the St. Paul's Big Red at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Vermont Academy's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

It was a proper cat-fight when Vermont Academy duked it out with Brewster Academy National on Sunday. The Wildcats and the Bobcats finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for St. Paul's offense. They fell 2-0 to Dexter Southfield on Saturday.

St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-4. Vermont Academy's draw makes their record 11-3-3 this season.

Vermont Academy beat St. Paul's 2-0 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
