Baseball Recap: Ramsey Takes a Loss

Ramsey extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 21 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-4 in the process. They lost 15-0 to the Dieterich Movin Maroons. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 15-1 to the Movin Maroons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Dieterich, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Dieterich's part, Mason Lidy looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lidy has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bryce Bohnhoff was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Landen Keck was another key player, going 1-for-2 with four RBI and one run.

Looking ahead, Ramsey is taking a road trip to challenge Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dieterich, they will challenge Neoga at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Movin Maroons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
