Basketball Game Preview: Fruitdale Pirates vs. Southern Choctaw Indians

Fruitdale is 0-5 against Southern Choctaw since December of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Fruitdale Pirates just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Southern Choctaw Indians at 7:30 p.m.

Fruitdale is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 28th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They were outmatched by Choctaw County and fell 58-30.

Meanwhile, Southern Choctaw put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sweet Water 74-31.

Southern Choctaw's win came from a few key players Fruitdale will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was T'Marion McGhee, who posted two points and 53 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braylen Jones, who put up 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.

Fruitdale's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Southern Choctaw, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Fruitdale was dealt a bruising 81-48 defeat at the hands of Southern Choctaw in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Fruitdale was down 42-14.
