Basketball Recap: Lincoln Southeast Takes a Loss

Lincoln Southeast was the 53-45 winner over Millard West when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Lincoln Southeast Knights had to suffer through a 69-27 loss at the hands of the Millard West Wildcats. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.

Millard West was led to victory by Norah Gessert and Kylee Paben. Gessert went 6-for-11 to rack up 17 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds, while Paben went 9-for-13 en route to 21 points and six boards. The match was Paben's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Neleigh Gessert, who posted nine points.

Lincoln Southeast's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Millard West, the victory was the 21st in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-1.

As of now, neither Lincoln Southeast nor Millard West have any future games scheduled.
