Preview: Knightdale Knights vs. J.F. Webb Warriors
After three games on the road, Knightdale is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the J.F. Webb Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Knightdale is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than J.F. Webb in North Carolina (Knightdale is ranked 274th, while J.F. Webb is ranked 555th).
Last Friday, Knightdale didn't have too much trouble with East Wake on the road as they won 44-29. The squad ran away with 33 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Knightdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ja?Kiyah Moore, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Moore has scored at least 25% of Knightdale's points. Another player making a difference was Melody Bryant, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, J.F. Webb came up short against Louisburg on Friday and fell 57-44. J.F. Webb has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Knightdale's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for J.F. Webb, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
