Hanover had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Pembroke Titans as they made off with an 11-3 victory. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Titans back in April, they had to take a 4-0 loss.

Ben Freedman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Geo Naples, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Sam Light was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hanover kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.2.

Hanover's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Pembroke, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanover will host North Quincy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pembroke, they will be playing at home against Scituate at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
