Football Recap: Covenant Academy Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Covenant Academy's offense. They were dealt a 35-0 defeat at the hands of the Citizens Christian Academy Patriots on Friday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Ethan Mills threw for 67 yards on six of 14 attempts. Seth Daugherty was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards.

Citizens Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Bo Roberts, who picked up four sacks and made six total tackles. Dalton Rogers also rushed for 112 rushing yards, which is notable because the Patriots are undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

Covenant Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Citizens Christian Academy, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Coming up, Covenant Academy will head out to face off against Grace Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Citizens Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 49-0 win against Crisp Academy on the 9th.
