Football Game Preview: Callaway Cavaliers vs. Morgan County Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Callaway Cavaliers will venture away from home to take on the Morgan County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Callaway sitting on seven straight wins and Morgan County on nine.

On Friday, Callaway humbled Jackson with a 47-17 victory. The Cavaliers pushed the score to 40-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Red Devils had little chance of recovering from.

Callaway can attribute much of their success to Blake Harrington, who rushed for 68 yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Morgan County took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 41-7 victory over Pike County. Fans of the Bulldogs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Callaway better keep an eye on Christian Monfort. He was instrumental in Morgan County's win, rushing for 164 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Monfort is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Davis Strickland, who threw for 155 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Morgan County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 222 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 165 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Callaway's record is now 7-2. As for Morgan County, their record now sits at 9-0.

Callaway beat Morgan County 33-26 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
