Basketball Recap: Stockdale Takes a Loss

Stockdale was the 57-46 winner over Nixon-Smiley when they last played one another on January 10th, but their luck changed this time around. The Stockdale Brahmas fell just short of the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs by a score of 51-48 on Tuesday.

Among those leading the charge was Madison Yanes, who posted 11 points and six steals. Ashly Garcia was another key player, putting up six points and seven rebounds.

Stockdale's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Nixon-Smiley, their record is now 12-19.

Stockdale will challenge Poth at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Poth will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Stockdale surely won't give up without a fight. As for Nixon-Smiley, they will take on Luling at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Nixon-Smiley is facing Luling at the right time seeing as Luling is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
