Soccer Recap: Rochelle Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sterling on Thursday, Rochelle came back down to earth. The Hubs fell just short of the Ottawa Pirates by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Rochelle couldn't quite close it out.

Rochelle's loss dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for Ottawa, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rochelle is set to face off against their familiar foe Sycamore at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Ottawa will take on rival Kaneland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
