Volleyball Recap: Redeemer Christian Lions vs. Riverside Christian Wranglers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Altamonte Christian, Redeemer Christian was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Riverside Christian Wranglers 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
While Redeemer Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21, 27-25.
Redeemer Christian can attribute much of their success to Ella Celano, who had five digs and four aces. That's the most aces Celano has posted since back in September of 2023.
Redeemer Christian now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Riverside Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redeemer Christian will head out to challenge Aucilla Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverside Christian, they will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Cedar Key at 6:00 p.m.
