Soccer Game Preview: St. Edward vs. Northridge + How To Watch

The St. Edward Green Wave will face off against the Northridge Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Edward has given up an average of 4.2 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. Edward came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 5-2 to Indian Creek. Things were pretty much settled by the half as St. Edward were already down 4-0.

Drew Kapetan and Francisco Valencia scored both of St. Edward's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northridge). They never let Bishop McNamara get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Northridge needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Northridge's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3. As for St. Edward, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's still a better percentage than their 1-11-1 record this season.

St. Edward took their win against Northridge when the teams last played back in August of 2018 by a conclusive 5-0 score. Do the Green Wave have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
