Football Game Preview: Taylor vs. Atlantic

Taylor will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Atlantic at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close match.

If Taylor were riding high off their 27-6 takedown of Halifax Academy three weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Taylor ended up on the wrong side of a painful 14-39 walloping at The Villages Charter's hands. Taylor got a solid performance out of senior Jaden Reeves, who rushed for 181 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.

Meanwhile, Atlantic took their game against Pine Ridge last Friday by a conclusive 22-0 score. The success made it back-to-back wins for Atlantic.

Atlantic's win lifted them to 2-0 while Taylor's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Atlantic can add another positive mark to their record or if Taylor can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Atlantic's step.
