Football Recap: Santiago Comes Up Short on the Road Against Saddleback

Santiago had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a hard 26-7 fall against the Saddleback Roadrunners.

Saddleback's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andre Scott, who threw for 149 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Favian Soria helped Scott out on the ground, picking up 52 receiving yards and two TDs.

Santiago didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 38-7 loss against Rancho Alamitos on the 28th. As for Saddleback, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 49-14 victory against South El Monte on the 28th.
