Football Recap: Santiago Falls to Saddleback in First Game of Season

Santiago had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 26-7 to the Saddleback Roadrunners.

Saddleback's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andre Scott, who threw for 149 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes. Favian Soria helped Scott out on the ground, picking up 52 receiving yards and two scores.

Coming up, Santiago will host Rancho Alamitos at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saddleback, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge South El Monte at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
