In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Justin-Siena sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 22-25, 25-20, 21-25, 15-13.
Casa Grande can attribute much of their success to Lauren Ketchu, who had eight digs and 20 assists. Ketchu is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had four or more in the last three games she's played.
Justin-Siena's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Casa Grande, the victory snapped their losing streak at 13 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-5 record.
Justin-Siena will welcome Petaluma at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Casa Grande, they will face off against Terra Linda at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Casa Grande is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
