 Mission San Jose is still looking for their season's first win. They lost  9-1 to the Irvington Vikings on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mission San Jose of the  17-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  last Wednesday.
 Mission San Jose got a good showing from  Varun Rangarajan, who   tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Rangarajan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances.

 Mission San Jose's defeat dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Irvington, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-14 record  this season.
