Recap: Fleming Island Golden Eagles vs. Orange Park Raiders
The Fleming Island Golden Eagles had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 28-27 victory over Orange Park. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but Fleming Island was the better team in the second half.
Orange Park's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gabe Taylor, who threw for 112 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing scores.
Even if they lost, Orange Park's defense sure didn't make it easy: Fleming Island's QB was sacked six times before it was all said and done. The heavy lifting was done by Rory Childs and Ashnel Louiceus who racked up five sacks between them.
Fleming Island's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Orange Park, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Fleming Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Orange Park also has no future games currently scheduled.
