Meigs is 9-1 against Wellston since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. Meigs hasn't scored more than 23 points for five games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

On Monday, Meigs had to suffer through a 100-8 loss at the hands of Athens. The contest marked the Marauders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Wellston played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Nelsonville-York 69-41. The Golden Rockets were down 46-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meigs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Wellston, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Meigs didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Wellston in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 66-60 win. Will Meigs repeat their success, or does Wellston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
