Baseball Recap: Apple Springs Comes Up Short

Apple Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chester Yellowjackets. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 10-4 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kayden Roden made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Pierce, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Apple Springs now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Chester, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5-1.

Coincidentally, Apple Springs and Chester will both be playing Burkeville the next time they take the field. The Yellowjackets will head out to face the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
