Baseball Game Preview: Greeneview Rams vs. Urbana Hillclimbers

The Greeneview Rams will challenge the Urbana Hillclimbers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Greeneview is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

While Greeneview's win against Triad wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams skirted past the Cardinals 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since May 15, 2024.

Trevor Moore was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Max Penrod, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Urbana lost 16-1 to Jonathan Alder on Wednesday. The Hillclimbers have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Urbana saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Lantz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Urbana's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Greeneview, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Urbana's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Greeneview hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .366. It's a different story for Urbana, though, as they've only averaged .215. Will they be able to contain Greeneview's hitters?
