Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Center Takes a Loss

Victory Christian Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 69-66 heartbreaker at the hands of the Phoenix Montessori Academy Firebirds.

Despite the defeat, Victory Christian Center saw an underclassman step up: sophomore TJ White posted 25 points. Another player making a difference was Deshawn Coulter, who put up 12 points.

Victory Christian Center's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Phoenix Montessori Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Victory Christian Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-49 victory against New Garden Friends on the 4th. As for Phoenix Montessori Academy, they have also already played their next contest, an 88-50 defeat against Springdale Prep on the 5th.
