Dalton barely beat Horace Mann the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 11-3 victory on Monday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Maxwell Lincoln was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those hits were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Herzog, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Dalton's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Horace Mann, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Dalton will square off against Trevor Day at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Horace Mann, they will head out on the road to face off against Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
