The Eureka Loggers will be playing at home against the University Prep Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Eureka is ranked 392nd, while University Prep is ranked 399th).

Meanwhile, University Prep can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They put the hurt on Lassen with a sharp 73-48 win. The victory was nothing new for University Prep as they're now sitting on five straight.

University Prep's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Devin Huegel, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Baron Grooms, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Grooms has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Scott Steffan, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.

Eureka's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for University Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Keep an eye on the arc in Monday's matchup: Eureka have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 5.6 threes per game. It's a different story for University Prep, though, as they've been averaging only 5.5 threes per game. Given Eureka's sizeable advantage in that area, University Prep will need to find a way to close that gap. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
