St. Francis is 7-2 against La Canada since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The St. Francis Golden Knights will head out on the road to square off against the La Canada Spartans at 7:30 p.m.

St. Francis will head into Friday's game eager for some revenge after what happened against Maranatha: St. Francis blew Maranatha out of the water the last time the pair played, but last Friday Maranatha got their revenge. St. Francis fell just short of Maranatha by a score of 48-45. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Golden Knights came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Minutemen are ranked 719th).

Meanwhile, La Canada beat Flintridge Prep 55-46 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

La Canada has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.9 points per game. As for St. Francis, they moved to 6-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Everything went St. Francis' way against La Canada in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as St. Francis made off with a 68-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Francis since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
