Baseball Recap: Melrose Victorious

Melrose's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Rehoboth Christian Lynx 12-11. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Buffaloes' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Nolan Devaney was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Trevin Yeary, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Melrose's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Rehoboth Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Melrose will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Santa Rosa at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rehoboth Christian, they will square off against Gallup at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rehoboth Christian is facing Gallup at the right time seeing as Gallup is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
