Baseball Recap: Parry McCluer Comes Up Short

Parry McCluer lost against Rockbridge County on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Fighting Blues might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 18-5 to the Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Fighting Blues have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parry McCluer's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Rockbridge County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Coming up, Parry McCluer will head out to challenge Bath County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Blues' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Rockbridge County, they will square off against William Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
