Basketball Recap: Genoa Area Falls Short of Margaretta in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Genoa Area couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 70-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Margaretta Polar Bears on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Polar Bears: they've now lost six in a row.

Genoa Area's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Margaretta, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-1.

While Genoa Area had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
