It was a proper cat-fight when Great Plains Lutheran challenged Northwestern Area on Thursday. Great Plains Lutheran walked away with a 51-43 victory over Northwestern Area.

Brody Scharlemann was a one-man wrecking crew for Great Plains Lutheran as he almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave Scharlemann a new career-high. Micah Holien was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Waubay/Summit didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Britton-Hecla on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 56-50 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Great Plains Lutheran's record now sits at 8-9. As for Waubay/Summit, their record is now 12-7.
