Basketball Game Preview: Whitmer Panthers vs. Findlay Trojans

The Whitmer Panthers will challenge the Findlay Trojans at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Whitmer knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Findlay likes a good challenge.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Whitmer turned things around against Ross on Friday. They walked away with an 88-76 victory over the Little Giants. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Little Giants are ranked 272nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Findlay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bowling Green.

Findlay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Whitmer, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Whitmer strolled past Findlay in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 64-48. Does Whitmer have another victory up their sleeve, or will Findlay turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
