Soccer Game Preview: Luella vs. Cedar Grove

The Luella Lions will take on the Cedar Grove Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Luella has seven straight wins, Cedar Grove has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Luella is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Stephenson a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. RACHEL GODFREY was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Cedar Grove fell victim to North Clayton and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 6-0.

Luella pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those five matchups. As for Cedar Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
