Softball Recap: Warren Central Warriors vs. Pike Red Devils
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Warren Central). They blew past the Pike Red Devils 20-5 on Tuesday. With that win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.
Jordyn Dever made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
