Baseball Game Preview: Chesnee Eagles vs. Saluda Tigers

The Chesnee Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Saluda Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Chesnee's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Wednesday's struggle, when East Rutherford hitters got past them. The Eagles lost 10-3 to the Cavaliers on Wednesday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cavaliers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Saluda was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They came up short against Strom Thurmond, falling 6-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Tigers haven't been shut out since back in March.

Saluda's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Chesnee, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
