Palmetto Ridge came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Cape Coral Seahawks onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 216th, while the Seahawks are ranked 468th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jonathan Tamayo and Salma Mehdi scored both of Palmetto Ridge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Palmetto Ridge pushed their record up to 7-9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Cape Coral, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16-2 record this season.
