Lakes International Language Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 74-69 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Lakes Academy Huskies. One positive for Lakes International Language Academy, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Lakes International Language Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for North Lakes Academy, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakes International Language Academy will face off against Washington Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Lakes Academy, they will square off against Legacy Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully North Lakes Academy likes a good challenge.
