Basketball Recap: Carmel Comes Up Short

Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Niles Notre Dame Dons, falling 67-38. The Corsairs lost against the Dons in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 44-38 score last time.

Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Niles Notre Dame, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Carmel will venture away from home to challenge Nazareth Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Niles Notre Dame, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ridgewood at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
